The Role of the Alliance

The Ballarat and District Pharmacy Alliance is a project of the Ballarat and District Division of General Practice. The Ballarat and District Pharmacy Alliance was established in March 2000 via Department of Health and Aged Care funding. In early 2002, the Alliance was successful in securing additional funding from The Pharmacy Guild of Australia via their Rural and Remote Pharmacy Infrastructure Grants Scheme (RRPIGS).

The Ballarat and District Pharmacy Alliance Advisory Committee is a representative group of pharmacists working towards the promotion and enhancement of collaborative and cooperative working relationships between Pharmacists and General Practitioners and other health professionals.
