BHS Closures Over the Holidays

A list of when BHS departments are open over the December and January holiday period.

Theatre Unit

From Monday 22/12 to Tuesday 27/1 (5 weeks) all theatres will be closed except for:

• Weekday mornings and afternoons - two (2) emergency theatres
• Weekday evenings and overnight - one (1) emergency theatre
• Weekends and public holidays - one (1) emergency theatre

Theatres will return to normal operational activity from Tuesday the 27/1 subject to surgeons' leave.

Endoscopy will be as normal subject to surgeon availability.

Perioperative Day Prodecure Unit

PDPU will close for two weeks from Monday 22/12 to Monday 5/1.

Between Monday 5/1 to Friday 23/1 PDPU will open 7am - 6pm. After 23/1 normal hours (7am - 9pm) will resume.

Anaesthetic pre-admission clinics will open as normal from Monday 5/1.

Transit Lounge

Open Monday 22/12 to Friday 2/1 to 9pm as required.

Closed public holidays as per normal. Resuming normal hours from 5/1.

3 North

Closed from Monday 22/12 to Tuesday 27/1 (5 weeks).

Outpatients

Scheduling of review patients, Fracture Clinic and urgent (within 2 weeks) new appointments only for the week commencing Monday 15/12.

Outpatients closed from Monday 22/12 to Tuesday 27/1 (5 weeks), except for:

• Fracture Clinic
• Oncology
• Antenatal Clinics
• 1 post op review clinic

Outpatients Department referrals may be sent to Outpatients for processing during this time.
