There are CPD events coming up for GPs and practice nurses you should know about.

Minor Surgery for General Practitioners

• When: Sat-Sun, 29-30 November 2008
• Where: Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, cnr Spring & Lonsdale Sts Melbourne
• Why: This program aims to enhance the surgical skills required for minor surgical procedures most likely to be carried out by GPs in rural or remote settings where specialists are not readily available.
  
  Approved by the RACGP for 40 cat 1 points, eligible for Procedural Skills and Emergency Medicine grants.
  
  The course is an accredited ACCRM Professional Development Program and has been allocated 24 Extended Skills points and 2 Core points.
