Practice Nurse Update
Danni Steele, Practice Development August 08
This is my first article for all you Practice Nurses out there! I've got an important update on the HPV Register, and how to access Practice Nurse training.
HPV Register - Is your Practice Ready?
The Victorian Cytology Service (VCS), who are developing and implementing the HPV register, are at the stage of collecting and loading HPV data and registering GPs to receive their payments. VCS have been working closely with AGPN to ensure that it is easy for GPs to use the register whilst still collecting all required data.
VCS will be contacting all GPs by letter to inform them of the process of submitting data to the register, and how payments for the lodgement of this data will be made.
In the meantime it is important to continue to collect the data using the templates or software options found on the AGPN website.
Most important is the provider number and patient details including her Medicare number.
