Welcome Aboard Danni

We're pleased to welcome Danni Steele to the team as our Practice Development and Immunistaion Program Coordinator.

Danni is a Division 1 Registered Nurse who commenced her nursing education at the Institute of Catholic Education (Aquinas College) in 1988.

Danni has a Diploma of Applied Health sciences, Graduate Diploma in Oncology, Graduate Diploma in Paediatrics, Accredited Immunisation qualifications, wound care training via distance education at Monash University, and she is also a credentialed women's Health Pap Test provider, completing her course through the University of Melbourne.

Danni's prior work history includes:

Danni has achieved Clinical Nurse Specialist qualifications and Associate Nurse Unit Manager positions in Paediatric and Oncology/Palliative care settings, and she has also successfully completed management and leadership development training.

Her next venture academically will be to partake in the General Practice Nurse Leadership Program offered through the University of New England.

To keep the balance over the years Danni has continued her other passion, music. She commenced her own singing school business in 1989, and was also involved in regular performances with local and Melbourne bands including session recordings.

Now an active member of the Sweet Monas choir, "the enjoyment is immense, and the pace is more relaxed!"

Danni takes job development seriously. "My approach is to listen to and learn from others at all times."

The list of Danni's professional affiliations is impressive: INSIG, APNA, ANF, RCNA, and SAEFVIC.

"To provide high quality services to our community, a mutual respect for each other's professional knowledge and acquired skills is essential."

"I look forward to the challenges in my new role. I hope my enthusiasm and support leads to a flow-on effect, not only relating to each individual's professional development, but to positive practice outcomes."

"With ongoing medical changes and directives always imminent, the implementation of new initiatives is what remains rewarding."
