Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab at BHS

We run a cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation program for patients who have recently had, or are at risk of, a cardiac event. The cost is $50.

The pulmonary program is designed for patients with chronic lung conditions. It also aims to decrease anxiety about being short of breath, and teaches self-management techniques so patients can lead more active lives.

The cardiac program has a special focus on promoting behaviours to decrease the risk of future heart problems.

Both programs aim to increase general fitness and confidence. They run for eight weeks and include education and supervised exercise.

Send your patient referrals for the Cardiac or Pulmonary Program to the Peter Heinz Centre, Queen Elizabeth Centre (Ballarat Health Services). Please include patient contact details, medical history and current medications.

Phone us on 5320 3885 or fax 5320 3860.
