Professor John Murtagh at AGM

Our 2008 AGM and Members' Dinner has been confirmed for Wednesday the 22nd October. The evening will consist of the 2008 Annual General Meeting, a delicious meal and a presentation from our guest speaker, Professor John Murtagh, who will be delivering an entertaining insight into a lifetime of cautionary tales in General Practice.
Professor John Murtagh is Professor in General Practice, Monash University and Professorial Fellow in the Department of General Practice, University of Melbourne. He is also Adjunct Clinical Professor, Graduate School of Medicine, University of Notre Dame, Western Australia. He is Senior Examiner-Australian Medical Council, consultant to Global Family Doctor and Locumotion (of Ireland) and Patron of General Practitioners Registrar's Association.
He practices part-time in general practice and currently has teaching responsibilities at three universities in addition to conducting national workshops for registrars in the General Practice Training Program. He is the author of several internationally adopted text books including General Practice, Practice Tips, Patient Education and Cautionary Tales. In 1995 he was awarded the Member of the Order of Australia for services to medical education, research and publishing.
