Spotlight on Practice Nursing
Michelle MacGillivray, Practice Support 6 February 08
Congratulations Alison Major; awarded an $8,000 education scholarship to study the Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education.
Alison is a Division 1 Registered Nurse employed at Ballarat Mind-Body Medicine.
Alison was informed about her scholarship on Christmas Eve! She will join her Practice Nurse colleague Gail Schuler of Gillies Street Medical Centre when they undertake the Diabetes Education course together at Deakin University.
Alison thinks that the education scholarships offered by the Department of Health and Ageing through the Australian Practice Nurse Association (APNA) are a fantastic opportunity to gain further qualifications to enhance her work in general practice.

Well done Alison, these scholarships are a fabulous incentive for nurses to gain further qualifications and knowledge.
This qualification will enhance the Ballarat Mind-Body Medicine practice services offered, in my experience a wonderful practice.
